Before we get started, here’s what I want you to know…

you can feel better.

We often lose sight of this and settle for the status quo. Why try to feel better if we don’t believe it’s possible, right? We start to feel stagnant—like there is no hope for a different, more comfortable way of being. While this feeling of resignation is understandable and deserves to be honored, explored, and tended to, it is no longer serving you in a way that promotes your optimal well-being. You don’t have to settle. You deserve more. I’m glad you are here.

you’re not alone.

Often in life, we feel alone. Even when we’re surrounded by others, we still don’t feel supported, heard, or like we have a place where we can be our most authentic. Loneliness is more a feeling than a state of being. This is an important distinction. We often feel alone because we’re rejected by others, feel burdensome, “bad,” or like we aren’t “good enough.” This causes us to retreat, silence our voice, lose trust in who we are, and feel isolated. What I have learned, though, is that whatever it is that makes us feel the most alone is actually the thing that, if expressed openly and bravely, would make us feel the most seen, accepted, and embraced. Everything you have to say, even if it feels scary or “taboo,” is valid and has meaning. In our work together, you will have permission to be all that you are. Nothing you say will be off limits.

therapy is a process.

The process of therapy is a beautiful, worthwhile endeavor. After all, your well-being has immense value. Healing from emotional pain, empowerment gained through self-awareness, and liberation from suffering calls for a recipe of strength, willingness, and commitment. It is my belief that you already possess these 3 ingredients. As a human being, you innately hold the ability to grow. We know that growth requires change, and change requires a combination of vulnerability and trust. I believe in your inner-strength. It is time for you to believe in yours.

life is a journey.

We can find solace in the notion that we are ever-growing, ever-changing beings. The expectation to reach some sort of “destination” in life is placing unkind pressure on your humanity. I view life as a “journey” rather than a race. A journey filled with countless experiences and opportunities, rather than a fixed, linear path. Together, we will find the right track for you to continue on your journey.
